« cofnijDyeVL – effective treatment for discoloration and superficial skin changes
DyeVL is an effective treatment for discoloration and superficial skin changes, such as freckles, spots, and various vascular changes: redness, spider veins, or skin hemangiomas.
It also alleviates symptoms of photoaging and helps in the treatment of rosacea.
Applied Technology – DyeVL Handpiece
The latest DyeVL handpiece is the first narrowband pulsed light source. It is recognized as the most advanced technology delivering results comparable to dye lasers.
Discoloration removal with DyeVL is based on light wavelengths that are well absorbed by melanin. Heating pigment-containing cells (melanocytes) leads to their thermal destruction. Immediately after the procedure, the pigmented lesion darkens, then gradually absorbs and disappears. DyeVL is highly effective in treating freckles, spots, or discoloration caused by the interaction of certain medications and sunlight.
DyeVL is a safe and highly effective way to eliminate skin redness and all symptoms of photoaging. It is an excellent preventive treatment for skin with shallow blood vessels, sensitivity, and a tendency to redness. It is also used in the prevention and treatment of rosacea.
DyeVL uses a series of three filters to concentrate light into a narrower range. This technology allows effective treatment of patients with pigmentation disorders and vascular changes. By emitting light in the 500–600 nm range, the skin is minimally exposed to other wavelengths, enabling better results in a shorter time. Additionally, comfort during the procedure is enhanced by a unique cooling tip directly integrated into the treatment handpiece.
Procedure Overview – DyeVL
Patients qualify for the procedure through a consultation with a doctor. During the visit, discoloration or vascular changes and the skin’s reaction are assessed. If the patient qualifies for the treatment, a clinical laser test is performed to achieve the best results while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Once qualified, the doctor cleanses the skin, applies eye protection, and then places a special gel on the skin before beginning the laser procedure. The pulse emitted by DyeVL is similar to a camera flash.
During the procedure, the patient may feel burning and warmth. The latest version of the DyeVL device includes a cooling system to further reduce discomfort.
Possible Side Effects After DyeVL
- Burning or stinging (may last a few hours after the procedure)
- Redness and swelling may occur immediately after the treatment but usually subside within 24 hours
- In the case of a strong pulse, an intentional effect is the browning and peeling of the epidermis within the first three days after the procedure, requiring intensive skin moisturizing
Post-Treatment Recommendations for DyeVL
- Strict avoidance of tanning: at least 4 weeks after the procedure
- Sun protection: the skin must be protected from sunlight for at least 1 month post-treatment with SPF creams
- Avoid factors that cause vascular dilation for 4–5 days (e.g., physical exertion, sauna, temperature changes)
Potential Complications After DyeVL
Complications are very rare if recommendations and precautions are followed. These may include:
- Damage to the epidermis continuity – micro scabs that heal within 2–5 days
- Redness in the treated area, which resolves within a few hours
- Skin pigmentation changes – hyperpigmentation or depigmentation may occur, usually in tanned or darker-skinned individuals; some hyperpigmentation may appear despite sun protection but typically resolves within 6 months
